Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

1. Content and structure of the paper

The content of the paper should present an original scientific research in the area of operational research and related areas within the scope of the journal. The authors should organize their paper such that it follows the IMRAD structure, i.e. consists of the following parts:

Abstract
Introduction
Methodology and Data
Results & Discussion
Conclusion
List of references
Author(s) Profile

2. Paper submission

To submit your paper, the first step is to register as a user of our Online submission system. Make sure to check that you want to register as an Author. Manuscripts must be submitted using the online submission form. It is journal policy that the online submission process must be carried out by the corresponding author. The corresponding author will receive all correspondence, including an initial acknowledgment and the decision, by e-mail.

3. Reviewing process

Every manuscript is peer-reviewed, according to the following procedures.

3.1. Initial manuscript evaluation
The Editors first evaluate all manuscripts. In many cases, the Editors will return a paper promptly to its author(s) at this stage because it clearly does not match the journal’s stated interests, scope or level of quality.

3.2. Type and duration of peer review
Asyafina employs double-blind reviewing, in which the reviewer is unknown to the author, and the identity of the author is unknown to the reviewer. Upon acceptance to review the manuscript, the reviewer is asked to submit its review within 4 weeks (in some cases, extensions to this period could be approved by the editor).

3.3. Reviewers’ report
Referees advise the Editors. The Editors’ decision to accept or to reject a manuscript will be sent promptly to the author, with suitably detailed explanations. The paper could be accepted as is, accepted with minor revisions, revised and resubmitted or rejected.

3.4. The Editors’ decision
The Editors are responsible for the final decision to accept or to reject a given manuscript, and there the process ends.

3.5. Consent to publish and copyright agreement
After acceptance of the manuscript, and before publishing in this journal, the corresponding author is required to sign (on behalf of all co-authors) the Consent to publish and copyright agreement.

According to the agreement, the author(s) retain the copyright of the paper published in this journal, they are entitled to publish the preprint of the paper by acknowledging the journal in which the paper is/will be published. The author(s) transfer the publishing rights to this journal.

4. Article Processing Charge (APC)

Asyafina is an Open Access Journal. All articles can be downloaded free of charge.
Since Asyafina Akademi Press (Asyafina Publisher) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization, the journal must be financed by Participation fee (Article Publishing Charge) about IDR 300.000 , that has to be paid by authors of each paper after the positive decision of the Editor-in-chief (i.e. acceptance of the paper for publication). This publication fee is to cover the cost of editorial work, editing, publishing online, and in print, it will be billed to the submitting author or corresponding author upon acceptance of the article.

5. Open Access
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or / institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in accordance with Budapest Open Access Initiative.

6. Repository Data

Deposit and access to the research data from Asyafina Journal article through Repositori Harvard Dataverse (https://dataverse.harvard.edu/dataverse/asyafinajournal). Data is deposited through the Jurnal Asyafina system, do it at the "Supplementary File" stage and/or Repositori Asyafina Dataverse. Research data of this article is a dataset that is shaped by the interview transcript, processed data/statistics, documentation of activities (photos, images, graphics), sound recordings, etc.). As a form of willingness to the research data deposit, author was asked to fill out the Research Data Deposit Form of Jurnal Asyafina.
